Return Policy for Westside Rental

At Westside Rental, we are committed to providing a smooth and reliable trailer rental experience. This policy outlines the terms for returns, cancellations, care responsibilities, and refunds for all trailer rentals.

1. Returns

We do not accept product returns, as we do not sell physical goods. This policy applies solely to rented trailers.

  • All trailers must be returned by the agreed return date and time listed in your rental agreement.
  • Returns must be made to the original pickup location unless alternate arrangements were approved in advance.
  • After-hours returns are permitted only if arranged beforehand. The renter remains fully responsible until the trailer is inspected on the next business day.

2. Condition of Returned Trailers

All trailers must be returned in clean, empty, and undamaged condition. This includes:

  • Dump trailers must be fully emptied.
  • Any dirt, debris, or damage caused by misuse or improper care will result in additional charges for cleaning or repairs.
  • A Westside Rental team member will conduct an inspection upon return.

3. Care & Maintenance During Rental

We expect all renters to handle trailers with care and perform routine checks during the rental period:

  • Cleaning: All trailers must be returned clean. Failure to do so will incur cleaning fees.
  • Repairs: Any damage due to negligence, misuse, or improper maintenance will be charged to the renter.
  • Tires: Renters are responsible for all tire repairs and replacements during the rental. Most tire damage occurs from road or jobsite hazards. Flat repairs are at the customer’s expense. Westside Rental is not responsible for tire damage under any circumstance.

4. Trailer Malfunctions

  • We perform a pre-rental inspection with you before pickup or delivery.
  • If you encounter any issue during the rental period, you must notify us immediately. Continuing to operate a malfunctioning trailer without reporting it may result in full responsibility for damages or repair costs.

5. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
  • No refunds will be issued for same-day cancellations or no-shows.
  • Early returns are not eligible for partial refunds unless pre-approved in writing.
  • Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

5. Rental Terms

We offer flexible rental options:

  • Daily Rental – 24 hours
  • Weekly Rental – 7 consecutive days
  • Monthly Rental – 30 consecutive days

Late returns will be charged at a daily rate unless otherwise agreed.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Full refunds are issued for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
  • No refunds for same-day cancellations or no-shows.
  • Early returns are not eligible for partial refunds unless pre-approved in writing.
  • Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

7. Renter Responsibilities

By renting from Westside Rental, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are fully responsible for the trailer while in your possession, including all damage, loss, or theft.
  • The trailer may not leave Canada without written approval.
  • You are responsible for properly loading and securing your cargo. We are not liable for your load or securing equipment such as straps or e-trac systems.
  • If the trailer is lost, stolen, or returned damaged, you are responsible for full replacement or repair costs, including parts and labor.
  • No credits will be issued for trailers claimed to be unused.
